With a grateful heart that all students, staff and the families are all safe after hurricane IRMA that devastated many places in FL. I count my blessings every day and your child is one of them.
We have rolled off successfully this year, the teachers are in top gear working with the children to help them develop and achieve their goals in social, emotional and academic skills. All service plans meetings have been completed and the students are receiving therapy as per their IEP suggestions. Please make sure to take time to read with/to your child, every day. Reading is important to be modeled at home. And it helps establish a before bed time practice that help the child bond with you as well.
Also, please be aware that all students will be given homework M-Th. For the upper grades, there could be some projects they need to gradually work towards in weeks together. Feel free to email teacher and check on the child’s academic progress. We are open for suggestions and are available to cater to the needs of your child the best way possible.
As we held to October, we might encounter few colder mornings. Kindly dress your child in layers, which will help taking it off as needed when it gets warmer during the day. Also, please try to have appointments scheduled after 2 p.m. so the child doesn’t miss out on instruction. Please send notes to school, due to illness, so we could mark attendance accordingly.
