About New LEAPS

A Caring Specialized School Environment

New L.E.A.P.S. Academy was opened in 2013 to serve the needs of our under-served special needs community. The school has grown quickly and earned praise for its continuous improvement and extra curricular activities. We offer therapy services in collaboration with the county depending on your child’s Individualize Education Plan (I.E.P.) as well as private PT, OT, Speech and ABA services.

Our Mission

We evaluate each student based on emotional, mental and physical well-being. This allows us to listen and understand their needs. New LEAPS Academy addresses each student’s unique academic, social and emotional needs which allows us to educate individual abilities. Goals are set for each student and individual education program will be adjusted based on the progress of the student. At New LEAPS Academy, the curriculum will be carefully crafted and he students will obtain the skills necessary to contribute, in a meaningful way, within his/her communities and families.

Small class sizes and ESE experienced teachers familiar with many different learning styles and disabilities make us unique. At New LEAPS Academy we want your child to become successful. To meet the needs of each individual student, we take the time to tailor your child’s academic program while incorporating life skills to ensure a brighter future.

We recognize each child has different needs to be addressed and unique qualities and strengths they naturally possess. Therefore we believe there is more than one way to educate a child.
